Internet is a paramountly important in today’s world. It is widely use in various field that related to public such as media,edcuation,or workplace.However, there are some concern towards that privacy, and data breaching. Many people urge the to the federal to take over and monitor every internet users for the benefit of the nation.From my point of view, it is an urgent action to manage some particular contents, but it should regards on human rights and remains freedom of choice as a consumer.
First of all, any information that related to crime and violent, this information should be monitored, not only for the aldorlescent in school; but, it should be extend to every household. For instance, news of suicidal, or gun use on the social media; it is a primily source that leading to a role model. The government should establish the laws to all the provokative group; for example, politic, race ralated or any hate speech comments. As a result, this content will increase the riot, and it lead to the world wide conflicts.
I witnessed several of media online that I believed it should be banned such as during Covid pandemic. Many contents encompassed in several conspiracy theories; later it created hate-crime towards Asian.The authorities was not controlled the situation on the media, also social organisation was not take any serious action, I received a few verbal attake once I went out to suppermarket, and it caused severely anxiety for me during that harsh time.
All in all, internet is a primary source of knowledge and it enhance evey daily life activities such as schooling, connecting with family and in the workplace. I firmly believe that internet should be a safe space for everyone.Therefore, the related authority should control the users that often create harmful contents such as crime,violent or any activist group that led to a riot.
