Nowadays, bullying is a major challenge faced by young people, especially students in many schools. This issue caused by a combination of internal and external factors, but it can adressed by applying stricter school policies and counseling services for both perpetrators and victims. This essay will discuss the causes of the problem and suggest possible solutions.
One of the main reasons is the desire of the student to feel superior in their society. This behaviour stems from a lack of parental attention and supervision. For instance, students whose parents are frequently occupied with work, may seek validation and attention from their peers through aggresive behaviour. As a result, they may target weaker students to feel sense of dominance. In addition, external factors also contribute to bullying. Hars parenting can encourage aggresive behaviour, while weak school discipline and inadequate supervision may create an environmental which bullying is often to occur. When the perpetrators realize that they have less consequence for their actions, they tend to feel confidence and lead this problem frequently occur. Consequently, the victims often suffer from depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. As a result, bullying can negatively affect the academic performances of both victims and perpetrators.
Bullying can be adressed by several measures. First, parents should spend more time with their children and teach positive manners, such as empathy, respect, and social behaviour. In addition, bullying can be addressed through stricter school policies and counseling services. For instance, school should encourage their students to aware about bullying by applying stricter policies, giving heavy consequences for the perpetrators, participating in awareness campaigns and educational programs, resulting in the perpetrators be cured of bullying habbit. Moreover, counseling services should be provided for both victims and bullies. Victims need a professional support to overcome their post-trauma, while bullies need guidances to manage their emotions and develop empathy.
In conclusion, bullying is a serious problem in many schools because the lack of parental attention and weak consequences, making bullying is frequently occurs. However, I believe that bullying can be adressed through greater parental involvement, stricter policies and comprehensive counseling services for both perpetrators and victims.
