Frequently rise in the teenager crime is due to exposure of violence movies, tv shows and other video games. I believe to stop growth rate of juvenile crime media should play an important role. In this essay I will discuss that led to this growth and further steps to overcome this issue.
To begin with, one of the predominant reasons of juvenile delinquency is the raise in standards, showoff in the society and social economic factors such as lack of opportunities, poverty and economic hardship that turns youth to commit crime. However, family ignorance and quality of education also plays a vital role for the involvement into the criminal activities. To exemplify, in Third World countries teenager crime is increasing and has become a trend of short-term crime like, pick pocketing and mobile snatching.
To deal with this, Government should invest in and introduce education system that enhance skills and focus on character development. Moreover, engage youth in community based programs that provide mentorship, after school activities, charity based programs and positive role models that’s help youth to divert from juvenile crime. Lastly community policing strategies must be implement positively to underlines issues and build trust. To exemplify, some countries organize paid sports activity to teenagers to develop their skills and engage in activities to avoid fall in such bad activities.
To sum up, I believe media plays an important role in this modern era to disrupt youngsters’ future. Whereas, the Government and parenting should also play their part to overcome this dilemma.
