It is believed that friends are the families we choose, and there is two opposing views that we should be friends with people who always agree with us, some people argue. Hovewer, others believe that friends ought to have different ideas. I agree with the latter opinion mainly for two reasons.
On the one hand, people argue that having friends who agree with them helps avoid conflicts and common misunderstanding. This sort of friends keep friendship long time and set a piece in relationship, compared to friends who frequently oppose each other’s views. Apart from that, friends with the same ideas can easily share inerests. Take myself as an example. Most of my friends agree with me in almost all circumstances either in academic and practical perspectives which this, in turn, strengthens our friendship. Therefore, having friends who have the same opinion is valuable.
Neverthless, I still share the view that friends who sometimes disagree with opinion we have benifits in two ways, one of which is improving discussion skill. In making friends with a person who owns personal view differs from us forces to warm debates in a wide range of topic. This, as a result, helps us to think differently. Another benifits of having friends with people who have different political view can develop us as a person, and learn from them at the same time. It is because, debating onto a certain topic and expressing or sharing opinions, no doubt, boost knowledge about issues , which this can benifit for both sides.
In conclusion, despite such advantages of making friends who agree with us, I am still with the view that friends with different ideas grows our discussion skill, and it benifits to develop as a person as well.
