The process of producing tomato ketchup is illustrated in the given pictorial representation
From overall perspective, the process involves 15 steps which are interconnected with each other. Starting with picking-up tomatoes and culminating with consuming ketchup with any food and any lapses can lead to decreasing the quality of the final product.
First of all, tomatoes have been picked manually and put in the basket. After that, workers sort it into the tomatoes with good and bad quality in order to get rid of bad quality tomatoes. Once tomatoes has been sent to the ketchup factory, where starts the process of deleting the stalk, seeds and skin. Consequently, tomatoes go into the container, where tomatoes crushes by the pressure of press. Before being boiled, into container has been added ingredients such as sugar, vinegar and salt.
As the result of boiling, tomatoes stays for 2 hours. Then, substance goes into special bottles with the process of labelling. Sequently, workers have checked the quantity of ketchup in bottles in order to get rid of bottles which doesn’t consist full bottles of ketchup. Before being sent to supermarket, bottles have been gone into the box. After that, humans can consume ketchup with the food.
