Several people find that, the government is supposed to be responsible for education because of financial barriers that some people may face to achieve higher education. However, some argue that by paying it by themselves, can realize them to finish intime. Personally, I believe that the government plays a crucial role here to offer or supply kind of scholarships. I will discuss why and reach my own conclusion.
On the one hand, some people believe that the government is supposed to be responsible for it. Providing scholarship should be the most approach to overcome financial barriers to higher education. Because, scholarship provided by the government can ensure equal access to education regardless individuals’ financial backgrounds. For example, government scholarship can enable students from low-income families to attend prestigious universities that they might not afford. This opens up opportunities for them to receive a high-quality education, access resources and networks, and pursue careers that align with their interests and talents. Additionally, scholarships can encourage students to strive for higher levels of achievement. Thus, scholarships serve as effective tool in order for students to achieve their goals.
On the other hand, those who support the cost of tuition fees should be paid by individuals themselves claim that by having responsibility to pay their university education can realize them to finish their education more promptly. Because, they are more likely to take their studies seriously and prioritize completing their degree in a timely manner. For instance, those who are financially accountable for their degree may be more carefully in selecting their courses and majors, having strategies to stay focused on their academic path and avoiding wasting time. Moreover, it can encourage them to manage their time effectively to focus on achieving their goals. Hence, placing the responsibility of paying tuition fees on individuals can serve as a powerful approach for them to complete their academic journey in timely.
In summary, while there are valid arguments for both paying by themselves and government’s responsibility, I believe that government should play a role in providing tools in order for students who are from low-income can achieve their goals. Every people have their own talents and interests so that government is supposed to provide a right path for them to equalize access in higher education.
