Overall, the trend of using the internet from 2014 to 2018 was upward. Moreover, the percentage peaked with the 26-35 age group in 2014 and for a group of 35-45 years old in 2018. Consequently, online shopping was popular among people aged 15-55.
To begin with, the highest portion of users who shopped online was the 26-35 age group with just over 30%, then it rose slightly to around 35% in the next four years. Furthermore, people aged 35-45 years old started shopping online at about 28%, while it climbed dramatically to under 40%. In addition, there was approximately 20% in groups of 15-25 years old and 45-55 years old ordered stuff on the web in 2014, and it grew gradually with 3% in 2018.
Next, the 55-65 and 65+ age categories started at just over 10% and 5% in 2014, and it had modest growth to above 15% and 10%, respectively, in 2018.
