The bar chart enumerates marriage and seperation rate for four different years as well as compares marital situation of two seperate years.

At first glance, it is clear that number of marriage is always higher than that of divorce. Wedding rate continued to decline over time but result for detachment rate is fluctuating. When it comes to relationship status, marriage out numbers others with a great margin.

Number of marriage was 2.5 million in 1970 remained fairly constant in 1980 but decreased to 2 million in 2000. Even after this reduction, the quantity this is much superior than that of seperation. Number of divorce remained nearly 1 million in 1970 and 2000 but it had gone through some ups and downs.

Visibly, married persons supresses others, where the number is nearly 70% in 1970, and dipped to approximately 60% in 2000. Situation is different for others; namely, second highest proportion is never married persons, which was only nearly 12% in 1970 and roughly 20% in 2000.
