The pie chart compares the percentage of financial resources spent on various areas by one university, in 2005 and 2015. Overall, the highest percentage is spent on teaching and research in both cases. Furthermore, it can be seen that the greatest change was in the proportion of income spent on accommodation.
In 2005, the most necessary charge was teaching and research, representing just over a half of all spending, and although it was still a necessary part of income spent, by 2015 it had fallen to 48% of the total. At 16% accommodation was the second most necessary charge in 2005, but this fell significantly to only 8% ten years later. There is the opposite situation with administration and management, it changed dramatically from 6% to 16%.
In 2005, less proportion of income spent was on financial support for student, 5% only. In comparison, it rose to 8% in 2015. The percentage of incomes spent on libraries in 2005 was 10%, but decreased in a half in 2015. The proportion of income spent on maintaining campuses remained unchanged in 2005 and 2015.
