The assigned bar graph illustrates the information regarding internet use at a particular institution, Redwood Secondary School, by sex over a period of 8 years.
Overall, both statistics of internet usage in boys and girls witnessed an increment. Another striking feature is that, although the figures for boys were the highest in the initial year, they were replaced by the figures for girls in the final year.
In 1995, the internet usage in boys and girls stood at approximately 110 and 75, respectively. Furthermore, the figures for boys rose dramatically to 240 by 1997. Similarly, the statistics for girls increased sharply from 75 to 210 by 1997. Afterwards, in 1998, despite escalating remarkably to around 300, the internet usage among girls experienced a steady fall of nearly 5% between 1998 and 1999. Conversely, from 1997 to 1999, the internet usage among boys followed a gradual growth of 19% till 1999.
Probing ahead, in 2001, before inclining negligibly to roughly 330, the statistics for boys dropped minimally to 325 till 2002. As compared to this, the figure for girls grew steadily to 320 till 2000. After which, in 2001, after dropping slowly to nearly 315, internet usage among girls increased slowly to 325 from 2001 to 2002.
