The given pictorial illustrations illustrate how the art gallery ground floor has changed since 2005.
Overall, it is evident that the Gallery has been dramatically reconstructed with the appearance of a wheelchair ramp and the relocation of facilities over the given period.
In 2005, the Southern side of the Art Gallery was an entrance. There was an entrance hall, a receptionist and stairs in the middle of the area. On the right-hand side of the gallery were exhibition rooms (one, two and three), whilst on the left side contained a cafe, a gallery office and exhibition room 4.
At present, there has been an appearance of a ramp for wheelchairs outside the entrance. The entrance hall, receptionist and stairs have remained unchanged but a lift has been installed next to the stairs. Although on the right side of the gallery the exhibition rooms have been kept intact, on the left-hand side has been transformed completely. The exhibition room 4 has been converted into a temporary room and children’s area. The gallery office and the cafe have been demolished to make room for a vending machine and a gallery shop.
