The pie charts illustrates the percentages of online sales for retail sectors in New Zealand, in 2003 and 2013.
Overall, it is noticeable that many changes has happened during these 10 years. Travel and clothes decreased, in terms of percentages, whilst books and film/music increased.
In 2003, travel was the sector with the largest percentage of online sales, 36%, followed by clothes sector, with a proportion of 24%. The 21% of total online sales was related to film/music sector, while the smallest proportion of online sales, the 19%, was related to books sector.
In 2013, film/musics has become the sector with the largest proportion of sales, 33%, surpassing travel, which sales decreased from 36%, in 2003, to 29%, in 2013. Still, books sector, which in 2003 was the one with the smallest percentage of sales, in 2013, dramatically increased, passing from 19% to 22%. Clothes sector decreased also, during these 10 years, indeed the percentage of sales declined from 24%, in 2003, to 16%, in 2013.
