The table compares the number of cocoa bean produced in six different areas: North Central American, Caribbean, South America, Africa, Asia and Oceania from 1992 to 1998 a two-year intervals.
Overall, Africa dominated the number of cocoa bean produced in six regions throughout the period while Oceania produced cocoa bean at least in six areas during the same period.
In 1992, Africa made nearly 1,4 million tons cocoa bean and experienced continuously increase to peak at nearly 2 million tons cocoa bean in 1996 and stopped at around 1,8 million tons at the end off the period. Similarly, the number of cocoa bean produced in Caribbean rose from 52,000 tons to 69000 tons in 2 years from 1992 and remained to 1996 and slightly decreased in the last year.
On the other hand, The figure for cocoa bean produced in Asia reached peak nearly half million tons in 1994 and three different years compared fluctuated roughly 414000 to 416000 tons. The figure for cocoa bean in South America and Oceania declined from 568000 to 333000 and 42000 to 34000 respectively. Finally, the number of cocoa beans in North Central American was 50 thousand tons in the first year which reached bottom at 42000 in 1994 and climbed to the previous peak in 1998.
