The problem of animal extinction has always been debated for years. Many people are of the belief that protecting animals should be a top priority. Others believe that it is better to pay attention to human issues. To my way of thinking, I agree with both statements and I will discuss both views in my essay.
On the one hand, it is the fact that animals play a crucial component of our ecosystem, and that their extinction could have severe consequences. Moreover, these animals and their habitats play crucial parts in keeping biodiversity balanced, unless they are protected, many repercussions will follow. Furthermore, wild animals keep a key role in nature, putting specific types of creatures in danger would cause a drastic imbalance in the local environment. Losing animals to extinction can cause enormous problems for society. To exemplify, some specific aqua creatures can purify water and cleanse the environment for some water bodies that humans are very much dependent on.
On the other hand, there is no doubt that resources should be focused on solving human problems such as poverty, hunger, and diseases. Many believe that human life is more valuable than animal life. Therefore, we should prioritize our own needs over those of animals. Additionally, protecting animals can be expensive, and resources should be allocated more efficiently.
In conclusion, although it is essential to protect animals and their habitats, we cannot ignore the pressing human issues that need to be addressed. However, I believe that we can find a balance between the two. We can allocate resources to protect animals while also addressing human issues.
