In the past, writing a letter was one of the primary means of communication. However, the flourished development of the Internet has caused traditional letters to become obsolete and disappear over time. From my perspective, I completely agree with this statement, and in this essay, I will argue and give examples to illustrate my point of view.

First and foremost, it is undeniable that using high-tech devices is more convenient than writing a letter. Through the emergence of numerous social networking platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, or Messenger, tech-savvy individuals can easily access all of their friends on the Internet with a portable mobile phone without any inconvenience. In contrast, completing a letter is more problematic when people need to spend more time writing and sending it to the correct destination, paying a fee to transport the letter, and it may unfortunately be lost, not least when sending a letter to a different country.

Secondly, computers are not only easy to use for texting but also contain various gadgets. Video calls are one of the most powerful features in computers. With an internet connection, people can have a video meeting, and it saves a lot of money and resources for us. Instead of writing a letter, having a call is more convenient since they can directly talk and see each other.

To sum up, creating a letter is more time-consuming as it requires numerous steps. However, people should not eliminate letters from their lives, as letters can contain emotions that texting cannot acquire.
