Recently, it has been seen that many countries are struggling to give admission to students in universities, and this has caused a competition in the field of education for students. In my opinion, overpopulation is one of the major causes of this.
Overpopulation is a threat to the world. This is because more individuals are born than the space the Earth can provide, and this results in cutting down trees for the construction of universities and buildings. This also causes deforestation, which follows with an increase in global warming.
In the past, jobs were easy to get without higher education because it was not the focus in people’s lives. But recently, a job seeker needs to have a higher education qualification from a recognized university to work. This leads students to compete with others to get into universities. It has negative developments because the university raises its qualification requirements to acquire good brains for its benefit. For instance, when an individual graduates from the university, the reputation increases in the future. On the other hand, those who do not meet the requirements do not get the education and in the future, they stay unemployed, which further raises problems for their own selves. Recently, education has become a key to earning, and universities increase fees, which causes fewer parents to afford it. For instance, my grandfather was not able to pay my father’s college fees because it was much more than affordable, and due to this, my father did not get his higher education.
To summarize, overpopulation causes many issues for a certain individual in terms of education and employment. It also evolves into competition between students and an opportunity for the universities to earn high fees.
