It is believed by some that children should learn about food chart and importance of healthy food in their schools, whereas others say that parents are responsible for their children’s food and diet plan. In this essay, I will discuss both viewpoints and present my own opinion.
On the one hand, there are many reasons why people believe that teaching about food in schools is important. Firstly, children should learn academic features of food and their side effects in schools as academic books and teachers help students to learn this type knowledge. For example, many books related to food are taught in schools such as food chemistry. Secondly, students can share their food habits and charts with their classmate and gather proper knowledge on diet plan by knowledge-sharing.
On the other hand, there are some reasons why people believe that healthy food and diet of children should teach by parents. To begin with, home is the primary place of meal and parents are responsible and aware of what is cooking. Therefore, parents has better opportunity to teach their kids about healthy food and importance of it. Also, they can maintain a proper diet plan for their children. Another reason is that children always obey parent’s rules; so, if parents teach their children about healthy food, kids will follow this.
I believe that both parents and schools should teach children about food habits, food safety, side effects of food and importance of food. Though, the primary learning of food children can get from home as parents take care of their children, but the additional learning about diet plan, food calorie, side effects those can learn in their schools as schools teaches student food chemistry.
To conclude, healthy eating and importance of it should be learnt in schools as well as in home. If children learn from both the sources they will become aware of food safety, diet plan and others issues related to food.
