Nowadays, emergency issues can be just handled by global collaboration. From my viewpoint, I disagree with this case and believe that countries should solve their problems themselves with the least international support. In this essay, I will represent both sides of the argument.
First of all, international cooperation can indeed deal with almost urgent issues in a nation. Foreign countries provide supplements, facilities, investment, infrastructure, and even human resources for difficult nations, especially developing ones. Moreover, helping each other also forms international relationships and fosters more collaboration in the future. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam used to receive aid from other countries, such as Russia and the US, with vaccines, which helped the government stabilize the spread of the epidemic and create the premise for business between foreign nations.
On the other hand, it’s essential that a nation solve its internal problems, avoiding becoming passive to urgent issues. In particular, a dependence of a nation not only demonstrates sufficient problem-solving skills but also pays attention to global intentions. Furthermore, excessive passivity in front of other countries may also lead to exploitation. For instance, other nations can apply some clauses and rules to restrict development and exploit profit from them.
In conclusion, although international assistance can boost a country’s development and solve problems quickly, it can increase a nation’s dependence on other countries, which can be a target for others to take advantage of for evil purposes, so countries should make an effort to handle their issues by themselves.
