Mathematics can help individuals in many situations, whether it is buying products in small shops or managing entire companies while sitting at a desk and writing code.
By sharp contrast, I still side with those who believe that learning the arts should not be ignored. Firstly, many people are already studying science, and in a world full of mathematicians, someone needs to be different. Someone must help bring ideas to life by creating designs and visual concepts. Artists are very important for programmers because, in order to turn code into a real product, design is essential. Many IT specialists create websites, programs, and start-ups, but every idea needs a final visual form. Imagine that the world’s best programmer creates a program, but because everyone is a mathematician, no one can design it properly to make it complete. Secondly, art is something that never disappears. AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Sora can create realistic images, but they will not gain value if people do not present them to the real world. Many businesspeople earn money by buying and selling art, and street artists gain popularity by creating murals on buildings and walls. Moreover, music is an essential part of humanity, and without it, the world would lose much of its beauty. This topic alone could be discussed endlessly.
