In today’s fast-paced world, a growing number of people believe that computers pose a threat to human reasoning, while others argue that they have become of paramount importance in everyday life. Although such electronic devices trigger vision impairment and deterioration of cognitive abilities, I firmly believe that they play a crucial role in bolstering work productivity around the world.
To begin with, the majority of individuals often integrate digital devices to engage in virtual gaming. As an increasing number of users devote considerable time to screen-based recreation, they become addicted to online gaming, which in turn results in worsening human creativity and critical thinking. Additionally, excessive use of computers causes vision loss among users. In other words, the majority of electronic devices integrate displays that emit radiation, which affects negatively on eye health. For instance, studies indicate that students who spend significant time to computers report short-sightedness.
However, computers are of paramount importance in boosting work productivity around the world. This is because digital devices reduce human error by executing tasks that humans usually find challenging, which in turn boosts occupational productivity in organizational environments. For instance, computers are able to perform tasks such as data analyzing and calculating, where the majority of staff members are inclined to make errors. In my opinion, computers play a key role in promoting work productivity and curbing human error.
In conclusion, while computers trigger vision impairment and a decline in cognitive abilities, I think that they are significant in bolstering work productivity around the world. If people integrate such devices properly, they become indispensable tools rather than hindrance.
