It is believed that people tend to work for various types of organizations rather than working at one organization for the rest of their lives. Although there are good arguments on both sides, personally, my opinion will be on staying at one business. In this essay, I will discuss both views before showing why I favor the latter.
Firstly, remaining in one workplace gives experience and efficient work for employees; they easily find the processes and systems of the work accessible as the employers provide good opportunities for their workers to experience the seniors’ ability in their working environment, leading to career advancement and easily meeting the needs of the employers. In terms of that, understanding the structure of work is crucial for both laborers and businesses. It is encouraged for the young generations to be instructed by experts with extensive experience for further improvements in the future. Another advantage is that growing long-term relationships at work is encouraged for employees; they can get to meet their peers, and with one who is nearly the same age, they often see eye to eye with each other and be on the same wavelength. In other words, they are two peas in a pod, which results in an expectable success in the cooperative of the two, and with more peas in a pod, the result is a worthy waiting, and the waiting will be repaid with a worthwhile reward. For instance, a girl named Kelly and her friend Sara are assigned to work on the same project at their company. With the advantage of being friends and knowing each other for years, their performance is approved by the director and manager.
Secondly, if employees prefer to switch jobs, they can earn a diversity of skills and experience; working with high-level seniors helps them to acquire a range of knowledge and information that they need. Hence, they achieve it at a different level, and the employees will be experienced in various kinds of fields if they put their efforts into learning from the experts. Although there are many good points to speak of, it cannot make up for the unnecessary flaws. Casual disadvantages such as the reputation and changing jobs if they happen frequently can risk the laborers’ image in the organization, as if the employers know about their intention, the rate of earning a high salary or being employed will be low. In addition, the dependability will replace their confidence, and as a result, they do not have the ability to work by themselves because independence is not formed when they keep changing jobs, which leads to a lack of confidence while working, and no employer will ask for it. Moreover, building strong work relationships will be a big obstacle; the workers can never work long with colleagues, and trust will gradually be overwhelmed by doubts in ability. For example, if you share the same assignment with another employee, he or she may not trust you enough to leave the work to you, so they often prefer to do the work alone because of their suspects in your independence.
In conclusion, it seems to me that working for the same organizations will be a wiser option than working for different organizations. It’s profitable to have a safe working environment with everyone you know for a long time that can help to tackle your problems. Such convenience and incentive is the chance to promote the energy at work of workers.
