Some people believe that creating a new language to improve international communication is necessary for society. In my opinion, I think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.
People might view adopting a new language as beneficial for several reasons. One advantage is that people could acquire knowledge more efficiently. This is because English, as the globalized language, is mainly used by younger generations and English-speaking countries, creating a barrier for those who cannot speak it. As a result, creating a new language would provide an opportunity for people to have a shared learning purpose and to practise more freely, which could lead to greater success for learners. Another advantage is that people may acquire a new language more quickly. With the widespread use of social media, content creators could explore this vital phenomenon and present it in engaging ways, helping individuals absorb information more effectively.
However, there are more difficulties than advantages. One major obstacle is that a new language might only be accepted by individuals who are seriously committed to language learning. This is because, although the new language would aim to facilitate foreign communication, local businesses and exporters mainly use their native languages. As a result, the new language might become obsolete quickly if it is not widely adopted. Another disadvantage is that the benefits of using a widely new language are not strong enough to encourage practice. To master any particular language, learners must invest considerable effort. Meanwhile, established international languages are already recognized for travel and trade purposes, meaning that creating a new language may not receive enough support from local communities.
