In today’s world, there are conflicting views on how to encourage children because some people believe that children should be encouraged with the competitions. However, others think that, if children are taught to cooperate instead of compete, they will become more useful in their later years. I think children should be taught to cooperate with everyone, rather than encouraging them to be a part of the competitive lifestyle.

For some people, children should be motivated to get themselves indulged in competitions, where they can compete among their own age group. These people believe that competitions will give them a chance to showcase their talent and it is a way to express themselves superior among all other participants, which motivates them to contribute their talent for the nation. For example, if a student is proficient in playing chess, then parents and teachers will motivate them to play with that perfect accuracy and precision at national and international levels.

On the other side, some people think that children should be taught to cooperate rather forcing them to be competitive in their lives because it will be useful not only for them, but also for the society. Moreover, there are possibly two main reasons that why some people give more importance to cooperation rather than competition. Firstly, cooperation with everyone and in every situation will help children to adjust in any tough or difficult situations. For instance, they need to cooperate with their peers when they are in school because things will not work according to their comfort level in schools. Secondly, some parents believe that competitions many demotivate them because prizes are usually distributed among the champions. For instance, if children will not get any rewards for their efforts and participation, then they will start to decent their own talents and innovations, which in turn will hinder their growth and development.

In conclusion, although, some people believe that competition will motivate their children, I believe that parents and teachers should encourage their children to cooperate in every situation because it will not only help to adjust in any situation but it may also helps them in their professional lives where more emphasis is given to the cooperation rather than competition.
