In this cutting-edge era, mostly parents are working in families. While some people believe that grandparents should take care of the kids, other people think that childcare is the best option. This essay will examine both viewpoints before presenting my own opinion.
On the one hand, children have an emotional bonding with the old age people in home. The main reason is that kids are emotionally connected with their grandparents from the early childhood as they listen stories and learn moral values regularly. For example, it is often noticed that, in many countries, where children live in big families, they have more connected to their grandparents. Moreover, Parents feel more comfortable leaving kids with family. This is because they have less risk compared to leave children with stranger such as nanny. As a result, children would not only know about culture and family values, but also, they can feel safe near their loved ones.
On the other hand, children can receive professional care from the childcare centres. This is because centres have advanced technology where children can learn things quickly and remind themselves. Their mind will be sharpened as they would have to live in group of kids and would face challenges and competition during the regular group activities. For example, this is mostly found that children who live in centres, learn from each other and technology like computers, tabs. Furthermore, centres have a structured learning environment. Most probably, they follow schedule for study, games, communication. After this kind of activities, children feel more confident and independent. Consequently, children could be fast learner and adapt things quickly.
In conclusion, although children with their own family member feel safe and learn important values, kids in childcare centres adapt new things with the help of technology. I believe that parents should leave their children in childcare centre as they not only care for their children, but also provide professional knowledge which is more important in today’s world.
