Sports has been world’s most favourite and followed activity. Eah country has their own national sports. Football, Cricket, Hockey and Boxing are famous world wide and have millions of followers. Pakistan national game is Hockey but cricket is more focused and played all over the country.
Hosting an international sports event has some advantage and disadvantage as every thing has. At first, We will discuss main outlined pros of hosting an international sports event. It will enhance a country economically and financially, as it will bring lot of opportunities to hosted country and responsible for making money through investments, advertising, hosting people from around the world etc. It will create several employments opportunities for local nationals. Nation will be globally recognized and in spot light around globe. People from different regions and eligion will acknowledge their culture, tradition and values. Hosted country team has lot of support in ground in term of their home ground, they perform in front of their peoples, who cheer them up, which will boost up their confidence and help in winning games. It is just like an international hub or expo which will bring prosperity in the state.
On the other hand, cons of hosting includes a risk of any mishap or controversy during event. which will eventually make you lost everything. for example, Pakistan hosted Sirilanka in 2009 for a cricket series and a mishap happened that the sirilankan team has been attacked by terrorist and Pakistan somehow manages to tackle the situation but after that pakistan banned from hosting international sports.
In my opinion hosting an international event is good for any nation in every aspects but comes with risk and difficulties.
