The discussion centers around whether or not to consume meat in order to avoid health problems. In my opinion, the idea that avoiding meat guarantees better health is not entirely true.
Let me elaborate on my viewpoint. Recent studies indicate that meat contains fats that can be detrimental to health, especially when consumed in large quantities over time, leading to high cholesterol levels. While opting for vegetarian food may help mitigate this issue, our ultimate goal is to consume food that is nutritious and fulfills our energy needs.
If we choose to become complete vegetarians, we may benefit in some ways. However, to meet our nutritional requirements, we need to consume a wide variety of foods like pulses, cereals, vegetables, fruits, lentils, grains, and leafy greens. No single food can sufficiently fulfill all our nutritional needs, requiring us to diversify our diet.
In contrast, non-vegetarian foods typically contain a broad spectrum of nutrients, fats, and carbohydrates within just one product. These foods provide more nutrients and proteins even when consumed in moderation, which can assist in building muscle and promoting a fit and healthy lifestyle. This approach simplifies our diet, as we do not need to seek out as much variety compared to vegetarian options.
Therefore, I disagree with the notion that everyone should transition to a vegetarian diet to maintain health. Meat offers significant advantages; however, it should be consumed in the right amounts.
