Nowadays there are much more opportunities for women in the sphere of employment than there were just within a several decades ago. Despite the fact that there are still plenty of discussions about women working in particular spheres and doubts about their skills compared to male workers, I believe that there is no difference between men and women when it comes to doing their job on a high quality level.
Firstly, the quality of work does not depend on gender but the skills. It is not a secret that the history of humanity faced an enormous number of women who worked on the same level with men even if they were not allowed to get an education or were not paid enough for their work. Writers, artists, even scientists in originally male-dominated fields etc. can be represented by women with pride. Gender does not determine intelligence, creativity, or problem-solving abilities. For example, it is obvious that almost everyone in the world has heard about Mozart and listened to his masterpieces, but his sister, Anna Maria Mozart remained in the shadows of her famous brother. Unfortunately, she was forced to marry a man who was much older than her, but not only did she have a brilliant talent and played concerts together with brother when they were just kids but she also wrote her own music and sent her pieces to Wolfgang. Mozart and their father always praised her but when she turned eighteen, she had no choice but to marry a man who was chosen by her strict father. Hence, her career as a musician ended while her brother continued growing professionally and gained popularity. The same example can be put about women who worked as programmers at the beginning of the development of this profession. At this period of time there were not any educational programs about programming at universities so many companies taught their workers themselves. Applicants were only required to pass a math test. Surprisingly, several decades ago programmer was considered a female job, because it was boring and too mechanical for men so they were not interested in it. When digital computers came along, women became pioneers in writing software for them. This work was not prestigious at this time but the situation started changing in the 80s when people finally could afford buying a personal computer for children. It was ruled by a stereotype that boys prefer playing with constructors while girls should be interested in dolls and toy kitchens.
Secondly, in the 21st century the level of technology grew significantly. That is why many work fields which required physical power a couple of decades ago now became automated. These days workers do not have to do everything in person and can rely on mechanized processes that machines or robots can do instead of people. For example, harvesting, sowing or tillage can be done with machines. What is more, cranes, excavators, bulldozers, and other construction machinery have greatly reduced the need for manual labor when performing heavy tasks like lifting and moving materials. This is the reason why there is no need to take into account the difference between male and female physiology because the main required skill is the ability to operate this equipment. So today it will not be a surprise to meet a female crane or combine operator. Additionally, while some people can argue that there still can be some biological factors like pregnancy or menstruation which can influence the quality of female work as women become more vulnerable and less effective, these can be managed with flexible work arrangements and sick leaves.
In conclusion, the same conditions for both genders can show their equality at different levels while ignoring stereotypes about gender roles and physical strength. While individual capabilities can vary widely regardless of gender, the assertion that men and women can perform all jobs equally well holds true when considering the potential of individuals free from social borders. Promoting equality in opportunities and addressing biases can help ensure that everyone has the chance to succeed in any field they choose.
