A number of people thought that printed newspapers had become obsolete in today’s society. While this perception is somewhat justifiable, I believe that printed newspapers would continue to be manufactured and utilized in everyday life.
It is understandable why some individuals contend that the necessity for printed newspapers has diminished significantly. Firstly, using printed newspapers would be inconvenient. To be specific, printed publication would not be as convenient as online newspapers, due to the widespread popularity of technological devices, such as phones and tablets, people could access newspapers more quickly and conveniently with the internet while traditional newspapers would take time to buy or order. In addition, online newspapers update news faster than printed newspapers. Secondly, individuals have to pay if they want to read a physical newspaper. For example, as online newspapers are presently offered without charge, many people tend to choose them over printed versions, valuing their convenience and the absence of any associated costs.
Notwithstanding the aforementioned favorable features of digital versions, I am of the opinion that printed newspapers would be irreplaceable in life. One rationale is that only reading newspapers on technology devices could affect our eyes. Specifically, using electronic devices to read newspapers frequently could damage the reader’s eyes and cause some harmful effects, such as nearsightedness and eye pain. Therefore, traditional newspaper formats are always a safe choice for health because they can ensure that the reader’s eyes are not adversely affected. Another justification is that the disappearance of printed newspapers could affect various companies, such as publishers or logging companies. In fact, these companies may face bankruptcy due to a decline in sales, which could also lead to unemployment for some of the employees working at these companies.
In conclusion, although it is irrefutable that a number of people thought that reading newspapers has become obsolete and unnecessary, I am convinced that newspapers remain a vital component and indispensable part of everyday life for numerous humans.
