There is a belief that educational institutions are not crucial factors nowadays. This is because online platforms provide extensive information allowing children to study from home. I partially agree with this statement, since there are a wide range of resources available on websites and teachers tend to teach over the internet. However, numerous countryside regions do not have access to quality internet connection.
There are several reasons why I agree that schools may not be significant for education today. One of the primary reasons is technology is advancing rapidly, hence expanding online platforms offer various courses, classes, and lectures. For instance, YouTube features a number of educational channels such as math, physics, chemistry. Due to this, they not only obtain compulsory education programs but also access several extracurricular seminars in a short period of time.
Another reason supporting online learning is that many educators prefer teaching over the Internet. This is because online meeting applications provide flexibility, allowing teachers to arrange lessons in any conditions. For example, during the pandemic, mandatory classes continued via Zoom and Google Meet instead of infectious disease. Additionally, teachers can record their lessons for absent members, therefore no one misses out on important lectures.
On the other hand, some rural regions still cannot access e-materials. Poor internet connections are the main barrier of the lack of online resources. As well as this, misinformation spread among students who lack the ability to verify their knowledge with academic publications.
In conclusion, e-classes are increasingly replacing traditional educational institutions today. While technological advancement offers broad online resources and educators adapt to educate on the Internet, numerous rural areas still face challenges due to inadequate internet connectivity.
